Novare Equity Partners grows its Africa team

Novare Equity Partners, the private equity business in the Novare Group, has announced the appointment of Basil Boyns as Project Manager Nigeria, based in Abuja.

As a private equity fund manager, with a specific mandate to invest in the real estate sector, both retail and commercial, focusing exclusively on sub-Saharan Africa, Novare Equity Partners acquires strategically located urban real estate, and on partnering with successful retailers as anchor tenants, sets about delivering superior investments to the market.

Basil Boyns started his career as a management trainee in the mining industry. In 2000 he joined Liberty Life Properties as a regional property portfolio manager responsible for managing a large commercial and retail property portfolio.

In 2005 he joined Emaar Property Development in Pakistan as a development manager responsible for the management plan of a $980m development. Since 2006 Basil has been involved in multiple projects in Mauritius.
